Resource Center (CHERC)

Once again, St. Joseph Regional Medical Center has embraced an opportunity to strengthen and continue the Medical Center's mission, philosophy and commitment to support health education in our community through the newly opened Community Health Education Resource Center (CHERC). This expansion of services extends education, training and some wellness programs and opportunities to patients, their families, healthcare professionals, the local community and region while supporting SJRMC in its endeavors to provide preventative and proactive healthcare to all we serve.

How can the CHERC Help You?

The Community Health Education Resource Center is designed to help patients, their families, the community and region at large have a convenient and pleasant place to receive education and learn more about medical conditions and treatments, search the Internet for trustworthy information, or browse our health library for materials that will help each person make informed decisions about their health. Listed below are just some of the benefits the CHERC provides:

  • Central point of contact for information and course registrations for all community education courses.
  • Online education calendar. Patients and community members can access course information and register for courses via SJRMC's website www.sjrmc.org
  • Access to reliable, up-to-date information to help patrons make informed medical decisions or to learn how to cope with an illness.
  • Convenient location that is easy for patients, families and the community to locate and use. The Center is located on the 2nd Floor of the Medical Center when entering at the North Entrance. Valet parking is available.
  • Promotion of healthy living and lifestyles.

A recent visit to the doctor or the hospital by you, a friend, or family member may prompt you to research a diagnosis or disease. Or, you may wish to stay up-to-date on medical information. Whatever the question or concern, the Community Health Education Resource Center at St. Joe's is here to ensure that you get information from timely, current, reliable and professional sources that answer your health concerns and make each persons experience at SJRMC as beneficial and pleasant as possible.
