Cancer Center
Cancer Registry
The St. Joseph Regional Medical Center Cancer Registry is the core of the Cancer Program. The program has been certified and approved by the American College of Surgeons since 1978.
Cancer Registry
The registry collects demographic, diagnostic, treatment and survival information on every patient diagnosed treated at St. Joseph Regional Cancer Center. This information can provide valuable data for clinical studies and educational functions. It also provides a resource for evaluation of treatment approaches and outcomes.
Community Outreach
St. Joseph Regional Cancer Center strives to promote a team effort in enhancing the care of oncology patients and their quality of life. We also strive to increase public awareness regarding cancer prevention and early detection.
Clinical Trials
Cancer treatment clinical trials are research studies used to find the best way to treat people who have cancer. Each clinical trial has a set of rules or eligibility criteria that patients must meet in order to be enrolled.
We want our patients to have access to the very best treatment there is to offer. We also want them to have access to clinical trials if they are interested in participating.
To obtain more information on clinical trials, consult your physician or visit the National Cancer Institute website at www.cancer.gov.
