Regarding Your Bill

You may receive more than one bill from SJRMC. When you receive medical care from one of our many SJRMC locations, you may receive more than one statement for the treatment received during your visit. Many services must be divided among providers and the supplies and staff resources used in order to meet federal and state billing regulations. This may result in two separate bills for a single date of service, which may also lead to two explanations of benefits from your insurer company. Common examples are the doctor's visit with laboratory or x-ray services performed.

In accordance with our Mission and Values, St. Joseph Regional Medical Center is committed to caring for all people regardless of their ability to pay, with special attention to those who are poor and vulnerable. St. Joseph Regional Medical Center offers financial counseling and assistance to help address any financial concerns that patients or families may have regarding their care. Our financial assistant policies, which can be found on this web site, reflect our dedication to working together with our patients in a compassionate and caring manner to identify options for resolving their financial obligations. Financial Assistance Options

We want to make sure you receive the health care you need regardless of your ability to pay. Any of these options can help if you or a family member is uninsured or if you have a balance to pay after your insurance company has submitted payment.

SJRMC accepts the following forms of payment:

 

  • Credit card and debit card (Visa, MasterCard, American Express or Discover).
  • Personal check.
  • Money order.
  • Cash, when presented in person.
