Outpatient Diagnostic Service
The Outpatient Diagnostic Service is a unique treatment program at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center’s Mental Health Center offering intensive observation and treatment in a secure setting to quickly clarify diagnostic questions. Once the evaluation process is complete the patient may be placed back in the community with outpatient follow-up or complete a brief stay in the hospital if necessary. The average stay in the outpatient diagnostic program is 23 hours or less.

- Milieu Treatment
