Orthopaedic Hospitalist

St. Joseph Regional Medical Center (SJRMC) offers an Orthopaedic Hospitalist Program.
Qualified orthopaedic surgeons provide 24 hours a day, seven days a week orthopaedic services at SJRMC. Orthopaedic Hospitalists respond to patients in the Emergency and Minor Care departments who have orthopaedic needs and assist in their assessment and treatment. If surgical procedures are needed, the Orthopaedic Hospitalist provide services in a timely manner and subsequently manage the patient in the inpatient or outpatient areas as indicated by the patient’s condition.

What is an Orthopaedic Hospitalist?
Orthopaedic Hospitalists are orthopaedic surgeons who are trained in caring for patients with injuries of the musculoskeletal system, with extensive expertise in managing musculoskeletal trauma. Orthopaedic Hospitalist are dedicated to respond to Emergency Department and Minor Care patients ensuring promptness of treatment.

Having an Orthopaedic Hospitalist Program provides a positive impact on the timeliness and access to orthopaedic care through the Emergency and Minor Care Departments. This means quicker assessment and treatment that will enhance the patients experience when receiving care at the Medical Center.

There is an Orthopaedic Hospitalist available at SJRMC around the clock - 24 hours a day, seven days a week - to meet patient needs.
