Former Clarkston resident tapped for top finance officer spot

LEWISTON, IDAHO – St. Joseph Regional Medical Center announced today that Aaron Poole has been named Chief Financial Officer (CFO), effective Oct. 12. Poole joins St. Joe’s from Sutter Health where he served as the CFO for Delta Medical Center and Eden Medical Center in Northern California.

“We are thrilled to have Aaron step into this important leadership role,” said Tim Trottier, chief executive officer (CEO) of St. Joe’s.  “He brings a tremendous amount of experience and expertise in both finance and healthcare and a passion for developing leaders. His proven track record in deploying best practices to achieve strategic growth will help us advance our mission of Making Communities Healthier.”

Prior to his employment with Sutter Health, he spent more than 10 years with Adventist Health. He held several executive-level finance leadership roles in the large health system, including serving as a CFO for two of its hospitals in California and Oregon.

In his role at St. Joe’s, Poole is responsible for the overall fiscal operations of the hospital. Poole shared, “Being a CFO provides a perfect blend of working with people and data and I’m fortunate to be joining such a strong team already in place. Joining St. Joe’s is an exciting opportunity to live and serve in the community where I grew up and I look forward to contributing to the overall well-being of the LC Valley.” He added that he and his wife, along with their son, are happy to now live closer to family.

A former Clarkston resident, Poole graduated from Clarkston High School before attending and graduating magna cum laude from Walla Walla University for his undergraduate degree in Business Accounting. He earned his Master of Business Administration from University of California, Davis.
