LEWISTON, IDAHO –  St. Joseph Regional Medical Center announced today that Taylor Rudd has been named the new Chief Operating Officer (COO), effective May 1, 2020.  Rudd joins St. Joseph in Lewiston from another Catholic hospital in Napa, California with a similar name: St. Joseph Health, Queen of the Valley Medical Center.  He has been an administrator at Queen of the Valley for the past five years, most recently serving as the Director of Hospital Operations.  

“We are excited to have Rudd step into this important leadership role,” said Tim Trottier, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of St. Joseph.  “He is an experienced hospital administrator with proven operational results and a true understanding for the needs of healthcare organizations. His commitment to building employee connections, reducing barriers and empowering staff is evident and I know that he will help us further advance our mission of Making Communities Healthier.”

As Director of Hospital Operations at Queen of the Valley, Rudd was a member of the executive management team and responsible for overseeing daily operations of the 208-bed facility, which similar to St. Joseph is also a Level III trauma center.  In his role as COO at St. Joseph, he will be providing administrative direction for operations, responsible for implementing new policies and recommending improvements to hospital facilities.

I look forward to building on the strong foundation that already exists and helping the leadership team look for even more ways to improve the overall health of this community while building my experience within the LifePoint Health system of hospitals.”  

Rudd holds a Master of Science in Health Administration and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Alabama at Birmingham a Bachelor’s Degree in in Health Science with an emphasis in Public Health from Brigham Young University – Idaho in Rexburg. He is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE). 

Originally from Southeastern Idaho, Rudd added, “my wife and I both grew up in Idaho and we are thrilled to be back and share this great state with our three children.”
