St. Joseph Regional Medical Center Has Been Awarded Level III Adult and Level III Pediatric Trauma Designation.

Lewiston, ID – July 1, 2016

St. Joseph Regional Medical Center has been awarded full Level III Adult and Level III Pediatric Trauma re-designation through the Washington State Trauma System.  This trauma designation is the result of collaboration and teamwork of many departments in the Medical Center.  We proudly recognize our Emergency Room staff and physicians, as well as all the departments that work closely with them to provide excellent trauma care to our patients.  It takes many departments and a lot of teamwork to build a successful trauma program.

St. Joseph would like to recognize Angie Jackson, Director of Cardiovascular Services, for her leadership in completing the survey application and guiding the survey process.  Leslie Augir, Director of Emergency Services, Heather Cleveland, Trauma Registrar, Dr. Gary Thorne, Chair of the Trauma Committee, and Dr. Stephen Kessinger, Chair of Emergency Services-all were instrumental in our successful survey.

St. Joseph offers our congratulations and gratitude to all of our providers and staff who were integral in achieving the Level III Adult and Level III Pediatric Trauma designation.

For more information about this press release, please contact Christina Metcalf, Director of Marketing, Community and Volunteer Services at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center.
