LEWISTON, Idaho (August 25, 2025) – St. Joseph Regional Medical Center is excited to announce that Ed Freysinger, CEO, has been named to Becker's Hospital Review's 2025 list of "Community Hospital Presidents and CEOs to Know." This marks the third time Freysinger has received this prestigious recognition.

Becker's 2025 list honors 207 hospital leaders nationwide for their vision, innovation, and dedication to enhancing care in their communities. Freysinger's inclusion reflects the positive progress at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center and the significant advancements being made in healthcare delivery in the Lewis-Clark Valley.

"This recognition truly reflects our entire team's dedication and hard work," said Ed Freysinger. "I'm honored to be included on this list, but I am even prouder of our employees—individuals who show up daily to serve our neighbors, friends, and families with compassion, excellence, and heart."

Since joining St. Joe’s in 2021, Freysinger has concentrated on providing exceptional patient experiences and outcomes. Over the past year, the medical center has welcomed new physicians across various specialties, broadening access to care in the community.

Additionally, the organization has seen measurable improvements in care quality, patient outcomes, and its overall reputation, reinforcing its mission of "Making Communities Healthier by Continuing the Healing Ministry of Jesus."

Becker's noted that Freysinger oversees the largest full-service hospital between Boise, Idaho, and Spokane, Washington. Under his leadership, the hospital received dual Leapfrog "A" safety grades for 2024 and 2025. It was recognized as a U.S. News & World Report "Maternity Care Access Hospital" for offering critical obstetric services in a region with limited access. Under his direction, the organization has stabilized its operations, expanded its services, and strengthened its foundation for future growth.

St. Joseph Regional Medical Center, accredited by The Joint Commission, provides a comprehensive range of services, including emergency care, cancer services, surgery, primary care, imaging, and women's health.
