St. Joseph Regional Medical Center Joins Lifepoint Health
Lewiston, Idaho – June 2, 2026 – St. Joseph Regional Medical Center today announced that it is now officially part of Lifepoint Health, following the close of the company’s transaction to acquire eight acute care hospitals from ScionHealth. Based in Brentwood, Tennessee, Lifepoint Health is a leading healthcare provider that serves patients, clinicians, communities and partner organizations across the healthcare continuum.
St. Joseph Regional Medical Center is committed to ensuring a seamless transition for patients, employees and providers. The hospital’s leadership team will remain unchanged, and all employees are now employed by Lifepoint. Patients will continue to receive the high-quality care they expect from the providers they know and trust, and there are no anticipated changes to services or how patients access care today.
“We are proud to join Lifepoint Health, a trusted healthcare leader dedicated to delivering high-quality care, enhancing patient safety and fostering strong community partnerships,” said Ed Freysinger, chief executive officer of St. Joseph Regional Medical Center. “Our team looks forward to this next chapter as part of the Lifepoint family and the exciting opportunities it will create for our patients, employees, providers and the communities we serve.”
With the completion of the transaction, Lifepoint’s healthcare delivery network now spans 34 states, with 68 community hospital campuses, more than 70 rehabilitation and behavioral health hospitals and more than 300 additional sites of care.
