These outcomes eliminate or reduce disease process, prevent a disease or symptomatology, and establish a diagnosis. Cardiopulmonary care is integrated with other disciplines to achieve appropriate therapeutic outcomes. more about Cardiopulmonary care
The type of care provided involves a variety of therapeutic modalities. Respiratory care involves a process through which a licensed respiratory care practitioner cooperates with the physician, patient, and other health care team members in designing, implementing, and monitoring a therapeutic plan which will produce specific therapeutic outcomes for the patient.
Respiratory care is provided to all ages of patients, infant through geriatric, who may require appropriate delivery of therapeutic care. This would include a wide range of diagnoses in which there exists a related pulmonary complication. Tobacco cessation is offered through the Cardiopulmonary Department.
Performing pulmonary function tests (PFTs) are noninvasive diagnostic tests that provide measurable feedback about the function of the lungs. By assessing lung volumes, capacities, rates of flow, and gas exchange, PFTs provide information that, when evaluated by your doctor, can help diagnosis certain lung disorders. Pulmonary Function tests are noninvasive. These tests can be provided to inpatients as well as outpatients.
The Cardiopulmonary department is staffed and open for services 24 hours per day, seven days a week. A patient account representative is available Monday- Friday 8am-4:30pm.
