2019 Volunteer of the Year
Volunteers – Every Moment Makes a Difference
and in Trudy Stone's case, she’s been doing just that for over 16 years at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center where she has been selected as the 2019 Volunteer of the Year!
Delores began volunteering at St. Joseph in 2002 and has amassed 8,069 hours of volunteer time in various areas of the Auxiliary. She has been trained in all areas so she can assist when the scheduled volunteer was unable to be there. Trudy served on the Auxiliary scholarship committee for ten years, reviewing the applications as well as interviewing the prospective recipients.
Trudy has made a difference through many other volunteer activities within our community. She also is very active at the community center providing line dance instruction, which assists attendees in staying active while enjoying the company of the other members of the group.
Currently, you will find Trudy volunteering every Tuesday, greeting and helping ensure patients receive the care they need. When it comes to volunteering, Trudy is always ready and willing to help. Trudy is most deserving of the recognition as the 2019 Volunteer of the Year.
