Providing Foot and Continence Care
St. Joseph’s highly educated wound care specialists offer advanced care for acute and chronic wounds. Our wound care professionals employ evidence-based care and provide valuable education to ensure proper care throughout the healing process. Our individualized care is designed to address pain and discomfort, promote healing and quality of life.
The certified ostomy nurses provide preoperative and postoperative education, ostomy hernia prevention and therapy and customized product selection for the individual fit. The staff also provides assessment and referral services for complications related to ostomies. The ostomy staff also facilitates a support group for persons with an ostomy.
Staff also provide assessment, care and discharge planning for patients admitted to St. Joseph Regional Medical Center with a wound.
Continence care is also provided including urinary and fecal incontinence assessment, education and training to address quality of life concerns and treatments as ordered by a physician.
Foot assessment and care along with education for high-risk patients is provided by certified nurses under the order of a patient’s primary care provider.
